Learn Spanish ASAP App Reviews

Im learning more with this app than I am in my college class. Highly recommended.

I am intermediate in Spanish and I recently made the commitment to study everyday to attain fluency. I have many books (such as 501 verbs , the Ultimate Spanish review and practice ,Spanish vocabulary An Etymological approach,using Spanish A guide to contemporary Usage, using Spanish vocabulary. Using Spanish synonyms (last three by Batchelor et al and published by Cambridge. They are excellent for intermediate to advanced but expensive at $70 or so) and I highly recommend the full Oxford Spanish dictionary in hardback. About $30 at amazon. One of the best investments you can make because it show all the shades of meaning and usages of a huge number words, has sample letters of correspondence, verb conjugations and so much more. A must have. I also have Rosetta Stone which I have mixed feelings about. My study partner is visual and loves it. I find it useful but tedious and it definitely requires the use of books like above. I find the Pimsleur level 1-5 better. Its priced At $500 or so but they always offer 20 or 30% discounts So what does that all mean and how does brainscape fit in. I find it fantastic. It is am intelligent flash card system with over 6000 words for only $20. It shows you the word and you answer outloud or by thought and tap it and it show the English translation and you rate it 1-5, 1 being I did not know it at all and 5 being I know it very well. In sets of about two hundred words its very effective and if youre honest about rating each word it will keep bringing it back until you give it a five. And it will on occasion reinforce it again. I have made it part of my main daily regime along with the books and Pimsluer tapes/CDs/mp3s and I honestly dont do Rosetta Stone Daily even though it cost me over $200. In short. Get this. Its a no brainer. It works. But also get 501 verbs and some of the books I listed above or something similar. Use Pimsleur. But you can use this Brainscape anywhere if you have a moment or two, waiting in line, wherever. It remembers where you stopped. Great app and great Bargain!

This app is ridiculous !! It wont even let me get past the login page, after I hit the continue button on the terms of service it just removes prompt for terms of service and doesnt continue!! So dumb.

I speak Spanish at an intermediate level and this is perfect to increase vocabulary and fine tune grammar. I like the flash card setup. If I have 5 min of down time I can get a "lesson" in.

Ive been wanting to practice my Spanish for some time. This app fits the bill, perfectly.

I loved this app. However, since the most recent update the app shuts down every few flashcards. It seems to save the progress but its really annoying to use now.

It really helps me get comfortable with understanding people. To get better at speaking... You obviously have to put yourself out there and just use it eeeeeks.... :)

$30 for a collection of flashcards. Waste of money dont buy, get duo lingo.

I highly recommend this app for learning Spanish. With the addition of the listening comprehension makes it a must have. Most people dont have a difficult time learning vocabulary words but to become fluent you need to be able to understand at the speed of native speakers. This app provides this component.

I totally wasted my 30$ on ITunes on this app bc it is just some stupid flash card app which I could of got flash cards at The dollar store for like 10 cents or I could of just got a better free app......THANKS FOR THE HELP!!!!

These flash cards contain all of the Spanish language.... If you go from the beginning, you are taught grammar, sentence structure, plus there is vocabulary (with sentence examples) and verbs. I rave about this app to everyone I meet. Face it, learning a language requires a lot of memorization, a lot of repeated exposure to words and sentences. Brainscape does it in a way thats ordered and not overwhelming, and you end up learning much more than you realize. Great for self-study for a beginner, intermediate or advanced student (I went through all 3 phases...). Ive spent a lot of money on Spanish lessons and buying the app was by far the best. It really does contain 4 years of Spanish. At this point, I am conversational, I can read a book in Spanish, and Im less than halfway through the app. Needless to say, I am way wag ahead of anyone using Duolingo! You need to give this a shot.

I used to make flash cards and organize them by how well I could recall them. Thats exactly what this app does, except less making and more studying!

So great. So helpful. And so convenient. Really improved my Spanish and I like it more than Rosetta Stone.
